Friday 25th July – last Friday of the Month BBQ at the Club house
It’s on again – last Friday of the month BBQ at the club house. Bring your family & friends along to your club house, for only $5.00 per head for all you can eat, (steaks, burgers, sausages, salads & desserts) free tea & coffee, soft drinks $1.00, you will receive a text asking for numbers so we can get numbers for catering. Starts at 7pm.

The Classic & Rod Club Annual General Meeting (AGM)
“Ask not what your Club will do for you..ask instead what you can do for your club!”
This is for all paid up members only, and is not a compulsory meeting. It will be greatly appreciated if you can spare a couple of hours to come along to the AGM where general business will be discussed, if you have any suggestions, bring them forward, as we are always looking for suggestions & input from our club members. The old committee will step down & a new committee will be elected. If you are interested in becoming a committee member – there will be General committee, Secretary & Treasurer positions open. If you cannot make this commitment, there are always times when the Sub Committee need to lend a hand, so offers to join this are always welcome. President & Vice president positions can only be filled by committee members (as per constitution) that have been on the committee for more than 12 months. Once all the formalities are over with – there will be a BBQ at the Club House.
Hi all Classic & Rod Club members, next Sunday the 9th November we have been asked by the Dandenong Show again bring out our pride and joys to be put on display for all to see and admire, I have 70 Tickets that will admit Classic & Rod Club Members Car & passengers in at no charge, this will be available to the 1st 70 replies I get back when I send out the text, so please understand I will only accept the 1st 70, it is a great day out for the family specially when you do not need to pay an entry fee, keeps of rides, keeps of amusements, just an all round great day out for the family, so please keep an eye out for the text when it comes through – Sam
We are off to the Dandenong Show, as we have done in the past the Dandenong Show have asked the Classic & Rod Club Members to put their cars on display for all show goers to see and admire. We will leave BP Skye @ 8.30am to be at the show grounds by 9am. More details will be sent out by text closer to the day. Sam has 70 tickets to allow free entry to the show for car and driver and passenger so reply to your text ASAP ! Always a great family day!
Cranbourne Homemaker centre will be holding a fund raising event and proceeds will go towards Cancer research, it will be in the car park outside Autobarn Cranbourne, there will be limited space for 50 Classic & Rod Club Cars, anyone who is wanting to attend will have to be there by 9am the latest, I will send out a text to confirm details & numbers.
Sunday 14th December is the Classic & Rod Club Christmas Party, you all have been given a Christmas invite form, if you want to come along for a fantastic family day for all to enjoy, please get your form into us no later than the 18th November for catering purposes & also Santa needs to organise himself to make sure any children 11 years & under who are coming don’t miss out on a present.

Monday 26th January – Australia Day @ Gumbuya Park, what great family day out, bring your classic car along and park it on the oval for all others to see. Bring a Picnic and your Dancing shoes a the park will be Rocking! We will leave BP Skye @ 8.30am, cost of entry will be confirmed by text at a later date.
We are headed to Cannon’s Creek, (5 Bronze Wing Crt) Club members Frank & Rita Zappia are opening up their lovely property for club members. They will be putting on a spit roast lunch for all to enjoy, bring your classic car along, bring your folding chairs, picnic rugs, there is plenty of parking & heaps of room for the kids to run around and play. $5.00 per head for all you can eat, soft drinks $1 per can, tea & coffee free. Will send out text for numbers as time gets closer.
